Placing itself in continuity with the Dossier 'Building the public space', hosted in previous numbers n. 89-91 of this review, this dossier further offers the opportunity for confluences of some significant thematic issues of disciplinary innovation, central to the European policies and the new programming community. The dossier presents other 4 papers, in addition to this one, being the result of a reflection developed downstream of the International Conference on 'Public Cities and New Welfare. A network of networks for urban regeneration', organized by the Rome Project Laboratory and held on 2 July 2020, bringing different and complementary points of views.
